 Contemporary Australian cuisine to shine at Ned Kelly’s

THE name of one of Australia’s most famous historical characters is set to become the new moniker of one of Palmer Coolum Resort’s Village Square restaurants as Bruschetta officially becomes Ned Kelly’s.

The new name will be accompanied by a range of new dishes with Ned Kelly’s to focus on delivering the finest contemporary Australian cuisine. Prominent on the new menu will be local game and of course top quality Australian seafood.

The entree selection will include lime cured crocodile, smoked kangaroo, bush pepper rub quail and Bruny Island oysters. The main meals are just as mouth-watering with Byron Bay pork loin and barramundi with local freshwater yabby and lemon myrtle butter sauce, just two of the many spectacular dishes on offer.

The relaxed cafe-style feel with stay though with guests and visitors able to dine inside the restaurant or enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace overlooking the pool.

Palmer Coolum Resort Director of Sales & Marketing Geoff Pilbeam said the new menu offered guests and visitors a fantastic dining opportunity that will be unique to Ned Kelly’s.

“Our Executive Chef, Jan van Dyk, and his team have devised a superb menu and sourced top quality ingredients that will make dining at Ned Kelly’s a delightful culinary experience,” Mr Pilbeam said.

“Authentic, modern Australian cuisine is both delicious and distinctive and we are delighted to be able to showcase it to our guests and visitors.”

Ned Kelly’s becomes the third Palmer Coolum Resort restaurant to undergo a name change following the recent launches of The Palmer Grill and The Captain’s Table. Bruschetta’s adjoining bar will also be given a new title as Roo Bar serves the public for the first time.

With the new Jeda Street car park now fully operational and ample parking spaces available, visitors will be able to leave their vehicle in a secure location and stroll just fifty metres to the Village Square area where Ned Kelly’s and many of the resort’s other superb eateries are situated, along with shops, bars and other leisure activities.

Ned Kelly’s is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a special children’s menu or children’s buffet during peak school holidays.

Breakfast: 6:30am to 10:00am Monday to Friday - 6:30am to 10:30am Saturday and Sunday

Lunch: 7 days 12 - 2pm

Dinner: 6:00pm to 10:00pm daily
