The Coolum & District Netball Association dates back to 1987 when it was set up to provide netball to the local community as the closest netball facilities was 30 minutes away. The ball was set rolling to acquire land from Maroochy Shire Council and to construct two bitumen courts. Once this had been achieved our association was incorporated and competition games commenced in July 1990 with two bitumen courts and a garden shed. Today our facilities are 5 all weather outdoor courts, undercover shelter and a club house/canteen.

Dear Members

With the new season not far away we wanted to let you know that there are grants available to individuals for club memberships with registered clubs. Coolum District Netball is registered so if you qualify you may be eligible to receive a $150 voucher towards 2013 fees.

In the first round there are only 6,600 available statewide. Families with concession cards are most likely to reap the benefits in the first round with their elegibility automatically occurring with the input of required details. Others may still be eligible but need to enter two referral agents and these details need to be verified before a voucher will be issued.

These grants/vouchers are available from 15th January and to increase your chances of receipt it would be best to apply asap on the 15th January – they will be issued on a first come first served basis. Follow the link below prior to this to ensure you understand the process to increase your chances of success.

Get Started…Funding to help kids participate
Get Started is one of three funding programs that comprise the Queensland Government’s Get in the Game initiative to support sport and recreation at the grassroots level. Get Started assists children and young people who can least afford or may otherwise benefit from joining a sport or recreation club.
Eligible children and young people can apply for a voucher valued up to $150 (GST exclusive), which can be redeemed at a sport or recreation club registered with Get Started.
