One of the most commonly asked question put to a Lion, by members of the community, is “why did you join Lions rather than another organisation?” The answer may differ slightly but generally resolves around putting something back into the community, assisting others less fortunate, regularly meeting with people of similar interests, doing something meaningful and achieving personal goals while helping out in the biggest service organisation of its type in the world.

 

If you are a visitor to Coolum or a resident, you are cordially invited to attend one of our dinner meetings at the Coolum Hotel, David Low Way, on the 1^st and 3^rd Thursday of the month to learn more about our service organisation and the effect of our efforts within the community. Out-of town Lions are especially welcomed. Our host, Peter Maddox, is also a member of the Lions Club and supplies quality meals at a very reasonable price. The Lions Park, opposite the Coolum Hotel, offers free electric BBQs, undercover and outdoor dining facilities. Enjoy a stroll through the Park, especially on a Thursday morning when a small band of volunteers are removing noxious weeds and undergrowth.
